Contents

This conference is your source for ideas. It discusses how you (the teacher) and the project members can use FirstClass to develop your projects in a K-12 environment. It shows you how to perform the various tasks involved in project development, from planning the project to presenting the final project, to grading. It lists some of the ways you can use FirstClass to accomplish each step, and supports the ideas with detailed examples.

This conference is broken down into four major sections:
1       Project Stages
This section discusses the ten different stages of project development and how FirstClass can assist you with each stage.
2       Considerations
This section contains discussions of interest, such as project guidelines, thoughts about assigning responsibility, how to use FirstClass to share information among teachers, and so on.
3       Project resources
This section provides a variety of teaching aids, including:
•       the FirstClass tools you have at your disposal, such as documents, presentations, and voice mail
•       graphic organizers you and your students can complete online or print out
•       sample projects that showcase how fictional FirstClass projects were organized and implemented following the ten stages of project development
•       more information to help you implement some of the FirstClass features into your own environment.
This section provides project ideas and describes how to implement them in a FirstClass environment.
If you are new to using FirstClass, read Introduction to FirstClass before proceeding.
